This elaborate necklace was also purchased from the Objects of Desire gallery in Louisville, Kentucky. Several pieces of Carolyn’s collection came from here, although the gallery sadly has since closed. All of the purchases she made from Objects of Desire are unusual, and utilize alternative materials, in this case anodized aluminum tied together with copper wire. Lightweight but difficult to wear, it shows how daring Carolyn’s sense of taste could be, and her appreciation for successful experimentation in the realm of design.
