This striking neckpiece, using an iron hanging vase handle inscribed with Chinese calligraphy that had been gold foiled, and hung with a large bezel set turquoise nugget. The late Elizabeth Harris was one of the earliest and important members of the bead community, researching beads and supporting bead research and researchers, always generous with her time and collection. She often visited us at our La Cienega, Los Angeles office and doted on Patrick. In our patio in San Diego, we are still growing cactus from almost five decades ago, a gift from Harris.
