This contemporary piece looks like it could have been fashioned in the Neolithic age. A rudimentary feminine figure, formed from steel, with a silver frame and onyx arms and turquoise feet, this dramatic pendant demonstrates the power that can be derived from non-precious materials. As an almost talismanic or ritual depiction of a woman, my mother likely drew both strength and dignity from this piece.
