This piece came from earlier in Patricia Telesco’s career when she was covered in Ornament Magazine in 1991, and was part of a series of square pins. Within these pins, Telesco uses pure metal to make miniature modernist paintings of her own design. My mother went to art school, where she studied painting. Our house, as well as other members of the Benesh family, all have a few examples of her large canvases. This no doubt added to her appreciation of Telesco’s works, which are accentuated by the addition of a handmade wooden presentation box.
