Pong Gaddi has mastered leatherworking over the years, and plays to its strengths while taking advantage of the unexpected. From different types of animal leather to unusual hues, Gaddi understands both texture and composition, and his stylish purses and handbags deliver both. This expertise was built up through decades of trial and error, as Gaddi is self-taught and had to learn how to work leather himself. For his handwoven collection, he individually cuts, edge-thins, and edge leather strips that he then weaves together for a mesmerizing matrix.
