This hefty ring was one of my mother’s favorites. The top form is hollow, making it lighter than it appears. Its design is simple yet strong, and flattered my mother’s beautiful hands. It was a constant companion on trips around the country, to museum exhibitions and craft shows, to conferences and the very rare vacation. While she knew who made every piece she owned, we are left with only the initials of the maker; SB.
